The Flintstones - The Complete Second Season DVD

In association with Amazon.com

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Brings back old memories....
I found this looking for something new for my 3-yr old nephew to watch now and then. It was great to watch these classics again, although my nephew isn't quite ready for them yet. I wish cartoons now days were as fun to watch as the Flinstones were!

The only downside to this dvd set was that you cannot turn off the laugh track. I personally hate the laugh tracks on shows and would prefer the option to turn them off.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Something the whole family can enjoy
The Flintstones DVD second season truly is something the whole family can watch together. I know when we sit down to watch this together that there will not be any moments where we hold our breath and wait for the questions.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - love it
Classic cartoons that are fun, pleasant, and simple to follow. Comparing "The Flintstones" to modern 'cartoons' would be like comparing a 20oz Delmonico to a 99 cent cheeseburger.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - LOVE THAT FRED!!!!
I have been a fan of The Flintstones since I was a baby. Absolutely love them!! My favorites have always been the episodes pre-Pebbles and Bamm Bamm. As I've gotten older, I've grown to appreciate them even more because a lot of the humor was actually over my head as a kid. Although I've noticed that with most cartoons, especially the Looney Tunes cartoons. You really do have to experience them as an adult to really get it fully. The programs were so very clever especially the way they used animals as appliances or whatever. The expressions and some of the songs were so funny....I mean who can forget...."Keep your hobby hubby, keep your hubby happy, when he's a little chubby, he's the happy pappy.....with Glockenschpiel!!!" I also love the episode when Barney wins a houseboat on "The Prize is Priced". Fred and Barney couldn't decide on a name for the boat so they took the first three letters of one name and the last three letter of another name to come up with NAU-SEA!! You can't tell me people aren't influenced by this stuff since I can attest that I saw an actual boat last summer with that name written exactly as it is on the cartoon, hypen and all!! Yeah, I love this stuff. It's just a lot of fun and who can't use a good laugh in these pitiful times!! Go for it!!!!!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - brings back memories
The Flintstones remind me of childhood when I would watch it after school everyday. One of the discs I got doesn't work. It plays part of an episode and then stops and when I tried to watch another episode on the same disc it stopped again. I couldn't see any scratches. Other than one less disc, it's great.
