Quantum Leap - The Complete Second Season DVD

In association with Amazon.com

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great viewing
The first oopy I received was scratched; however it was very easy to exchange it. I love this show.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Oh Boy
You would probably have to be a fan of the original show to be ordering these. After watching them again, I realized how corny some of it was, but it is still a great show. The DVD's leave a little to be desired as the audio isn't always well matched up with the video, which was quite disappointing.

But, again, if you are a fan of the show, you'll appreciate the DVD's.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fast Delivery/New Product
The package came with my new DVD's in a very timely manner.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - On fine form
As soon as I finished the first season, I borrowed the second. I'm actually started to feel it's slightly addictive. Hehe, yet more episodes where Scott Bakula gets his top off!

I felt the second series brings Al into things a lot more than he did during the first season. He's even more over the top as well, and him and Scott Bakula bounce perfectly off each other.

In season 2 there was a lot of episodes about prejudices. There was the episode "Jimmy", about the Downs Syndrome boy that Sam leapt into, which practically broke my heart in two (and also stars Michael Madsen), and there was many more episodes, which was touched upon briefly in the first series. Jimmy is the most notable one, and one of my favourites.

Other favourites include the "Another Mother" episode (Sam as a woman cracks me up every time! Now see how we manage in heels guys!), and also "Maybe Baby" which had me tearing. I'm not sure which one came first, this episode or the poster, but there's a very famous poster out there, with the topless guy holding the baby? There's a lot of similar scenes in this, and I think any woman watching Sam holding the baby would feel instantly broody.

Originally, I didn't watch one episode, "Pool Hall Blues", as I wasn't in the mood, and pool does nothing for me. Probably cos I can't play it - not even a short skirt can tempt a guy to help me! I have no hand-to-eye coordination. I gave it another chance, as I still have the DVD before giving it back, and realised the whole point was to identify with Sam, as he can't play pool either! It proved not to be one of my favourite episodes, but definitely showed Ziggy (who still looks like a big calculator) can come through, and provide a cheat, rather than just facts about people. I still think a Quantum Physicist should have known something about geometry though! It's nice to see the tactics used in order to play pool, but there's no chance I'll be ever able to play it. Never mind the cue is normally the same size as me!

But my favourite episode of the whole series is the last one, "M.I.A". It puts a whole different spin on the leaps. I totally wasn't expecting what happened. Basically what happens is that Sam leaps into a undercover police officer, who has to stop a woman marrying when her husband is reported missing in action and believed to be dead. Sam sees a photo and realises it's Al who's the MIA, and why Al has been so upset through that time. The ending is so sweet, and I actually started crying. Believe me, when you see it, you'll cry too!

So far, this is my favourite series, and now I've got nothing to watch. I do have a stockpile of films to watch, but I wanna see what happens next! It's definitely left it on a cliffhanger, but I can resist and have some patience til I see the next season.

Oh and on the back where it's got the listing of what episodes are on what disc, it says there's bonus features, but they're not on the DVD! Where are they? Why are they listed if there's nothing there? I was looking forward to watching the bonus features.
