I bought this for my 21-year-old daughter who I thought could benefit from the message in the film. To my surprised we laughed through the whole film and had a great discussion afterwards. She was going to send it to her recently engaged girl friends. Great fun and socially educational.

I had never seen this movie before, but bought it for my mother's birthday. I've already watched it twice. I normally fast forward through an intro, but even the intro song is good. My father and husband were both amused by the antics as well. This was the first time I had seen Stephanie Powers in a dramatic role. I think she was very good at it. Sandra Dee certainly grew up since I had seen her as Gidget.

I grew up watching Sandra Dee movies. I loved them then and still love them. This is my favorite one. It is funny, romantic, and good for all ages to watch. I would recommend this to any one who wants to return to the good old days, where love is love, no violence, and best of all happy endings. Enjoy !

This is a cute farce but I found the story plodding at times. Dee and Darin make the entire thing work. They're funny, adorable and make a cute couple.
The story itself is off balance. I couldn't identify with any of the characters.
It was nice to see Dee as a domestic wife who knew how to cook!! She didn't in real life. And its kind of sad to watch her as well knowing that she battled anorexia all her life. If it is true that the camera adds ten pounds then Dee was rail thin because she's nothing but skin and bones in this feature, although still beautiful and charming.
Darin does well by his role and he's too charming not to be loveable.
The movie is worth a look but it won't be among my favorites. I much prefer Dee and Darin in "That Funny Feeling" instead.
Dee and Darin get 5 stars. The movie only gets 3.
