The operation is smooth and way better than the ones I grew up using. The plactic cap on one side of the yo-yo immediately popped off after removing the product from it's packaging, but I used a little glue to secure it back on and it works fine. So, a little disappointed about the assembly quality, but the design and operation are great aside from that one initial problem. My kids love it.

This is the best yo yo for an intermediate person! When I got the yo yo, I had so much fun with it. The fireball yo yo has a transaxle. A transaxle is a circle which goes around the regular axle. The string is attached to the transaxle. That makes the yo yo spin two times as much as a regular yo yo. If you put some oil in the transaxle, the yo yo will spin a little longer than normal. If you are a begginer, then I reccomend the yomega brain and fireball yo yo because when it has spun enough, it comes up automaticaly. The yomega brain and fireball yo yo also has a transaxle.

The Yomega Fireball is a good yoyo and can do a long sleeper. It is also pretty good for string tricks. It is also very good at around the world and walk the dog.
p.s. if you do not like this yoyo try the Yomega Power Brain it's great for beginners because of it's centrifugal clutch.

This yo-yo rocks!(based on the fact that I never touched this yo-yo before)

This yo-yo is the one that two of my friends have, and it is pretty good for beginner tricks like the sleeper and around the world. If you are having problems with it coming back, put a dab of vaseline on the axle and it returns to you at a whim and becomes pretty good at looping. But once you start getting into more advanced tricks like string tricks, it doesn't perform so well. It makes weird noises and binds up, especially on tricks that include somersaults. If you don't own a yo-yo yet, then this is a good one to start out on. So are the Brains. But if you think of yourself as intermediate or pretty good already, then get a ball-bearing yo-yo. They spin much longer and don't bind up on string tricks. If you want me to recommend one, I say one of the Hyperwarp Wings or one of the Raiders, both from Yomega. Most places should sell them for under twenty bucks.
