I don't know what goes on in the DVD production world, but I guess if it makes a buck, people will do it. I'm talkng specifically about finding very old, poor quality features and/or TV shows and converting them to DVDs, making people think that on a DVD, the feature will show the same quality DVDs have been known to display. This is a prime example of crap DVDs. The movie itself might be great. You buy it because of sentimental value only to have your memories shattered by a DVD company out there who says "hey, if we produce and distribute garr-bauge discs, people will buy them." Thus, the giant end-cap basket in the middle of Walmart with DVDs at 2 for $10. I usually gauge my purchases by the company that puts out the discs. For instance, if it's Universal, New Line, 20th Century pictures or the likes, the DVDs are normally high quality. I will, however remember the company that put out this Robert Blake disc. If they allow this dung to reflect their respect for thier customers, they will get NONE of my money.
