I expected this game to be easy for some reason, and was delighted to play it and find out that just because I was in my 20s in the 90s, didn't mean I knew all the answers! The set-up of the game is a refreshing change from most trivia games.

I like the idea of this game as decade-targeted trivia is more fun than the days of general trivia pursuit. Unfortunately, this game lacks in the following areas:
1. Cheap packaging and unimaginative board. When most $30+ games have quality game pieces, cards, etc., the materials that were used for this game represent the bare minimum of what is acceptable for this price-class of game. The game pieces are cheap, plastic posts and the board has little eye-appeal with printing registration problems.
2. While most of the questions are decade-appropriate, about 20% are not. Also, some of the questions are poorly written so the query must be read twice in order to properly communicate what the card is asking. It gives me the feeling that the researchers/card-drafters were on a deadline and really cut corners on many of the questions.
3. Few game cards: Though there are 6 questions per card, there are few cards that come with the game. The package includes two boxes of cards but neither box is full. In fact, when I opened the game for the first time, I had to search for the plastic bag that contained the dice and game markers because they were actually inside one of the card boxes. Once removed, the card box is barely half-full. I don't know if they came out with a booster box for questions but in light of the fact that the game comes with a smaller amount of cards, I anticipate the need for more cards in the near future. The second card box, is also only 60% full.
--> Overall, I think the game is cheap. It's fun to be reminded of a lot of the 90's trivia but on balance, this game leaves a lot to be desired - especially considering the price.

This game is a blast for those who relished the 90's. The questions aren't too hard ( like 80's Trivial Pursuit) but they aren't too easy either. Fun party game!

The 90's Game is a continuation of the series. It is just as much fun as the others but the questions seem a lot harder or more likely I just wasn't paying as much attention during the 90's. We play the game per the instructions but sometimes we just sit around the table or in the living room and pull cards and ask questions at random. To me this is the most fun because it spurs conversation and discussion without the confines of playing a game. Either way it is a great game!

We have a large group of friends that gets together on a regular basis and our usual game of choice is the 80's or 90's Game! We play 'guys against girls', and usually we make the guys answer the 80's questions and the girls answer the 90's questions. (I think the 80's questions are a little harder just because you have to think back another whole decade!)
If you have a lucky roller you can really get ahead in the game using the "free jump". Also, if the guys land on sports questions too much they usually end up beating the girls.
The best part about these games is that the questions aren't too serious or too impossible like Trivial Pursuit. If you lived in the 80's or 90's, you should know the answers - the hard (but fun) part is just trying to remember! Ladies, do you remember the song that Joey McIntyre (former NKOTB) came out with solo in 1999?
I recommend buying both games - its fun to intermix the questions!
