I bought "Return to Lonesome Dove" for my husband for Valentine's Day. We watched it together and he commented that he thought if was as good or maybe better than "Lonesome Dove". My son watched it and said "When are they going to come out with the next one?" Excellent movie.

transaction went well. The movie is not as good as the original. Sequels usually arent though.

Great continuation of story of Lonesome Dove. Very interesting. Keeps your interest going all the time until the end.

Completely copies the story lines in the original Lonesome Dove movie. A rather dull original after seeing the original. All the character action and dialogue seems robotic and not spontaneous as in the original.
Let's see, in the original, Captain Call had the first cattle drive to Montana and the Indians were still ar war. In this one the year after they arrive in Montana, the territory is largely settled and full of large ranches. Come on!
Watch it to see an alternative Lonesome Dove vision, but it is only mildly entertaining. Best bet, watch this one first, then the others. It will be less disappointing.

These movies show what people had to go through before all the technology
we have today.
People actually had to work to get payed or fed back then.
But you could even see the global economy idea back then with the cattle
ranchers wanting to form one group of ranchers that would controll the price of beef.
Kinda like the oil companies of today riping people off with the price of Gasoline.
It does mean controll freaks weren't just born yesterday.
I rate these miniseries a 10 from 1to10!!
