This has some great songs. I loved the movie and can close my eyes and see the scenes because the music was like a character in the film.

This is an excellent soundtrack. Not every song is a solid hit, but I've listened to it until I'm sick of it. I start my morning with track 6 on my way to work & finish the day with track 11. Tracks 9 & 17 are excellent, but I'm hearing them on the radio, too. So, I don't play them as much.
Hard rock with one really romantic song. Recommend it to someone that likes a variety of rock music.

All I have to say about this soundtrack is that Evanescence has the best songs on it. Bring Me To Life and My Immortal are obviously the best and standouts on here. I'am anxiously awaiting there new album (due for release sometime later this year). If you haven't already, get their latest release, Anywhere But Home, which is a DVD/CD Live Concert of them that was taped at a live show of them in Paris in May of 2004. It's really awesome and you won't be dissapointed. It has all their 4 music videos, (bring me to life, my immortal, everybody's fool, going under), and an hr of behind the scenes footage. And of course, if you haven't by now, but I would think you would since it's been over 2 years that their debut album "Fallen" has been out, if you don't have it yet, PICK IT UP!!!!!!!!!!! Your missing out BIG TIME if you don't have it yet or haven't heard it. Evanescence has put new life into rock music.

Some music is like an 1830's Madeira. You savor the complexities, the harmonies, and feel smart for consuming it. It lasts forever and is something special.
To paraphrase Whitley Streiber's _The Hunger_, you drink tequila because of how it makes you feel, not how it tastes. This music is not Madeira, it's tequila. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But none of these songs is really anything special, but I like listening to it while working out. It gets the blood pumping and distracts the brain.

This album suffers from three things: Evanescence, Hoobastank, and and a Blind Justice remix. Other than those three things, this album is okay. It doesn't "rock" as hard as the Punisher soundtrack, nor does it have a guy like Mark Collie on it to break the monotony. Instead, what you have are a collection of modern rock(nu metal to the informed) songs that sound pretty darn good the first few times you hear them, but fall off dramatically after about the third listen.
Drowning Pool and Rob Zombie are the standouts on this album. The song by The Calling is pretty good too. Songs by artists like Moby, Chevelle and Seether are all par for the course for folks who enjoy this type of music. Saliva has a pretty good entry here, but overall, the album has nothing that really grabs your attention. It's good, but just not as good as other recent soundtracks.
Unfortunately, Evanescence received a lot of exposure due to this album. Had they been a little bit more unknown, they'd probably have a very solid and long career. Thanks to MTV and the radio station monsters, these guys have been pounded down our throats for too long. Turn on any radio and I promise you that you'll hear Amy Lee belting out something within thirty minutes. Your soundtrack just isn't cool if it doesn't have Amy Lee sitting in with somebody these days. This group has tired out, and they haven't put out a new album since "Fallen." Once again, overkill has ruined a group.
So, if you like nu metal, Daredevil, or groups like P.O.D., I'm sure you'll love this album. Otherwise, stick to the Punisher soundtrack.
