Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Sick of Save Me
Cant wait for them to put out the next disc. But God I hope they change the theme song, I couldnt be more sick of Saaaave Me. I love the series but almost hate to watch it in fear of hearing that damn song.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - What's great about the album is "Everything"
The assortment of songs on this album can't really be described as perfect. Depending on the listeners preferred genre, any compilation CD is bound to have its share of hits and misses. However, I can guarantee that no matter which category is favored, there is one song that transcends all barriers of musical preference. That song is entitled "Everything" by the talented, yet under-rated, Lifehouse. For those who recall, this song was played at the end of the pilot episode during Clark's illusory moment with Lana after the dance. It was also featured in the season finale where Whitney shares a dance with Lana before he is enlisted in the military. The producers of the show couldn't have chosen a better song for either of those scenes, because in both cases, there was an element of breath-taking beauty and a wistful sadness, which is exactly what Lifehouse have incorporated into the song. Not only is it both moving and inspiring, it is also at once soothing and powerful. Simply stated, it is the perfect ballad. Other notable tracks include Five For Fighting's "Superman", "Don't Dream It's Over", "Time After Time" and of course, the opener, "Save Me" by Remy Zero. A great album indeed, but would be nearly nothing without the aforementioned "Everything".

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Remy Zero IS good.... (OT)
...And not a 1 hit wonder as reveiwer djdrq would suggest. I don't own this album, but I've watched the shows and know that this CD is worth owning if you enjoyed the music from the series soundtrack.

I just wanted to say djdrq is way off. Remy Zero, creator of the show's theme Save Me, is a great group and NOT a one hit wonder. True, their only real commercial success has been Save Me, but as anyone who owns their albums can attest, this is a great group with intelligent songwritting, aswsome playing, and super singing. They don't have many bad songs in fact. The album which Save Me comes from, The Golden Hum, is a true no-skipper, all the tracks are good. Villa Elaine is another great album.

Sorry gang, I know I got a bit off topic, but I had to defend what I and others feel is a great band worth listening too, commercial success or no.

Watch the show and buy the soundtrack. Stay away from red kryptonite (and green for that matter).

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - good music, but unusable for MP3 players and some CD Players
First of all, great music. A nice sampling of some bands that are worth checking out.

Second, the CD uses a copy protection scheme that prevents you from copying the music to a portable MP3 player. I don't object to the copy protection itself, but shipping what is, in effect, a defective CD (i.e. it doesn't meet the specifications) without a clear and obvious warning label is one step away from fraud.
