Love the show but I really enjoy this mix of the artists resulting in superbly selected blend of songs that flow well together. Makes me want Cds by the individual artists as well.

I am a big fan of CSI have been waiting for them to release an album since the begining of the show. I have to say that it was worth the wait. This CD puts across a powerful feeling of the CSI series and i think that the producers have done a fantastic job of putting it together.

Being a fan of the show, I eagerly awaited the day when the show's music would be availiable as a soundtrack. Now that I have it, it's become one of my personal favourite albums of all. From lively rock and roll and chaotic techno to eloquent chill-out, this CD has it all:
-"Who Are You" by the Who. It's the song you hear every time you watch the show. In its entirety, it's a great song that is worth hearing over and over again.
-"Everybody Out of the Water" by the Wallflowers. It's kind of a blah-ish song, since if lacks a solid melody. I didn't care for it at first, but I can live with it.
-"Crystal" by New Order. This has got to be one of my favourites off this album. It's got a solid beat and melody that's memorable and pleseant to listen to. A great song!
-"Come Into Our Room" by Clinic. A haunting downbeat techno song that seems to reflect the gloomy nature of the show. It's a creepy song.
-"Give It Away" by Zero 7. Instrumental chill-out track with piano. It's a very pleseant track.
-"Day By Day" by Badmarsh & Shri. Another decent chill-out track. It's not as upbeat as the previous track, but it's still notable.
-"Inhaler" by Hooverphonic. Really downbeat with an occasional guitar riff. It's exactly the kind of song that's heard now and then on the show. It's memorable and makes for a fine ambience.
-"We Luv You" by Grand Theft Audio. Very chaotic heavy-techno-rock and roll track. Seems out of place compared to the other tracks, but it's an awesome track.
-"Hell Above the Water" by Curve. Another heavy song with annoying synthesized vocals. It's not the greatest of tracks here.
-"To Get Down" by Timo Mass. A potentially fine techno track, were it not for Fatboy Slim's annoying remix. The original mix is much better.
-"Time Has Come Today" by the Chambers Brothers. Classier rock song with a definative beat and sound. Sounds like something Edwin Starr would sing. It's another great song!
-"Little Gem" by Euphoria. Back to the chill-out with this haunting song.
-"Song for Olabi" by Bliss. Another chill-out track with a tribal twist.
-"Unbound" by Robbie Robertson. A downbeat song that lacks a solid melody, but it's quite pleseant.
-"Investigation Suite" by John M. Keane. A collection of scores from the show. Downbeat like the rest of the album.
-"Grissom's Overture" by John M. Keane. Another piece of the show's score, carrying a more profound melody and ends with a powerful note.

ok I bought this just because I like the show but I got to say this is one really hot soundtrack!
It blasts of with The Who, followed up by the wallflowers Everybody out the water which alone makes this soundtrack worth buying, you then have Crystal another superb rock hit in the making!
This soundtrack is fresh, upbeat & just great to listen to some other highlights are Everybody get down, the amazing Unbound and the two insturmental pieces at the end. Which just round it off nicely, just need some more info than the small amount we got!
This is different in the best way, like the show new and hip, the music blasts from the first and never stops its got stuck in my CD player for good reason, you get something different from it everytime you listen to it. Like all great soundtracks you come back to it time and again. CSI has delivered the goods again with this awesome highly recommended soundtrack, any chance of a follow up? This is a gem, buy it!

I reluctantly picked up the soundtrack after a friend recommended it to me - soundtracks usually spotty but I was definetely blown away with this one. The soundtrack is a musical endeavor that mixes alternative, pop, rock and techno. It starts out with some hard hitters such as Clinic and The Who, then introduces some fresh blood like -Zero 7 and Curve who are just as impressive. The CD is a rare find as you can honestly listen to it from beginning to end. I really like it because of its versatility - it revs you up, then cools you down. If you're in the mood for good, underground music - you should check this out.
