In this game is painfully awfull to control Batman while from another point, the story is awesome and the graphics captures the great atmosphere from the animated series! A real Batman animated serie episode transported to the game space. But after a while, trying to control Batman, taking as much care as you can to not fall everytime, you get tired and seems to feel that you got a bad case of arthritis in the hand. It's really boring!! It passed two weeks after I got the game and I was still stuck in the fourth stage, while if the gameplay was better, it would be easier and really fun to keep going. I'm a sick Batman fan, but unfortunately I have to say: this could be a great Batman game, but the gameplay simply ruined it!

I'll admit, I've been a huge Batman fan since I was a young one. This game, unfortunately, is the second Batman game I've played ever(the first being Batman Returns on the SNES, which is a good game, btw.). I'd been kinda hesitant in trying the game out because I hadn't seen too much on the game anywhere. So, recently, when I couldn't find anything else to play, I picked up the game and I'm glad I did. They got the feel and look of the Cartoon dead-on. If I had any gripe, it'd be with the controls. For the most part, they were good but, in some areas, it wouldn't do like it should. They'd either be too sensitive or not sensitive enough. Regardless, it wasn't enough to take away from the gameplay experience. I finished the game and had me a blast doing it. I hope they come out with a sequel to this game. If you're a Batman fan or if you're a fan of the cartoon series, you'll find quite abit to like about this game. I highly recommend it.

Review for PC version:
Due to the camera angles, I only got to play one hour of play before I got motion sickness. The game would be nice but the restricted controls and unorthodoxed camera movement ruins it.
To use your Batman gadgets, you have to switch to first person mode, select a gadget, and then use it while still in first person mode. Just when you think you are free to move around in first person mode a la Counter-Strike or any other user appreciating shooter, you're wrong! And when in that mode, there is a strange and unorthodoxed restriction on your movement. When you fire a gadget, you have to aim until the "crosshairs" turn red. If you are using a joystick, it's real slippery so beware. It's quite a pain just to use a gadget.
The camera changes on you without your permission all the time. Half the time, you can't see what's in front of you as you get these strange side and front angles. Do I really want to see Batman running at me while I don't know exactly what he is going to run into? I started to get dizzy with all the camera angle changing. Why can't I have a rear shot and locked in so I can see where I am going?
The menu is even awkward. It took me awhile just to figure out how to exit the program. In the button configuration menu, I could not find a save key or any other game option keys of that sort and also could not guess it during gameplay; therefore, I conclude the game saves itself as you move on to certain "checkpoints". So if you die, you may have to start over back a few actions. Furthermore, it assumes you have a four button gamepad. If you have a joystick, you do no get to choose too many buttons. It also seems to expect you to use a combo of joystick and keyboard. You are allowed to use the keyboard but not allowed to use the mouse -- strange is it not?
I get the feeling this game is made for consoles and when they tried to make it for PC, they were restricted and thus we have an ugly version. This would have been a decent game had Ubisoft considered controls, angles, and gameplay.

It's not such a bad game, but it just isn't much fun. A Batman Animated series title should be GREAT, it has so much more potential if there are creative minds behind it. I felt the writing was poor (like many of things Joker said, for instance). There's not much to it, it seems better suited to 2D. I remember a Batman animated game for SNES was great, they should look to that. Maybe Mask of The Phantasm would make a good game, or SubZero, or any of the original series cartoons, scripted by Paul Dini. It's essentially, a nice-looking 2D game, I think games have grown better since then, though, so much of this was a chore.
