This a very well built quality ride on for kids in a wide range of ages. The only problem is that it is a little difficult to steer. It's not easily manuvered. But overall is excellent!

This toy is poorly constructed and designed unlike many other Radio Flyer classics. It smells like a chemical factory coming out of the box for one. Secondly, as many stated in other reviews, the turning radius is awful and makes it virtually un-maneuverable. All four wheels were wobbly and the whole thing had a cheap feel to it. Its a slick looking toy but thats about it.

My mother bought a "hard plastic" fisher price trike for my 19month old (who was a preemie!) and he broke the handle bars-- yes broke it. Those are supposed to be built durable but not with my son. If you're son is strong little man then go for this smooth ride. It may take a bit for him to figure out the steering, but once he does he'll love it. And it won't break.

Generally solid construction, lots of leg room, but very limited turning.
I got this car for my 18 month old son who loves scooting around. Unfortunately after assembly he has to tip toe which means he can't quite push himself along. I suspect he will enjoy it more as he gets older. He loves the horn though. I would also say this is more for the outside than inside. The main reason being the very limited steering. With the steering on hard lock, it still takes about 4x4 meters to turn a corner. Impossible to do a 3 point turn when in a corridor. The rubber tires should mean it will weather well outside.
On arrival this does require some assembly which will take no more than 15 mins or so. You will need a spanner (to tighten a couple of bolts), screwdriver (to screw the steering wheel onto the steering column) and a hammer (to bang on the wheel locks keeping the wheels in place). The parts fit together easily and firmly. The only concern I have is the way the wheels are kept with the pressure capped wheel locks. It feels like it could easily pop up when going to fast or going round corners too hard, which would then mean the wheels falling off. I would have expected some sort of wheel nut or something which is more secure.
The overall design and materials used are good, with the solid metal molded body (feels like it can take quite a beating before it will actually dent), steel steering column and axles, and metal wheels with real rubber tires. There are a few things that let it down. The steering wheel and column cover is plastic and makes it feel cheap relative to the rest of the car They could have at least fully molded the steering wheel instead of having it half rounded with a hollow back.
If you can find this at a good price then overall it is pretty good value for money compared to some of those other cheap plastic ride-ons. I can see my son getting reasonable use out of this over the years to come.

My son (2 years old) got this for Christmas and it is so cute!!! Just adorable! All of my boys (ages 6 years to 10 months) enjoyt this toy. My older boys ride on it, the only bad thing about it is- it is a little hard for my 2 year old to turn it- my other boys don't have a problem turning it. And my littlest one loves to honk the horn! Worth the money! Great ride on! Would buy again.
