My main problem with this cd is that the music simply lacks sufficient energy. Good music should make you feel something; it should create some sense of emotion, and when I listen to this cd, I just don't feel it. The first track is great, but it's pretty much downhill from there. There are a lot of opportunities for the music to build and swell into a burst of power and energy, but most of the building tension and power turns into quiet, slow little notes of nothing. It's not a horrible cd, but it's a let down.

The soundtrack was good, but lacks the compelling factor cpmpared to the music used in the trailer. I later found that the music is composed by ES Posthumus. But a pity is wasn't in the soundtrack, (of course, as it wasn't used in the movie at all).

It is a good soundtrack but some of the score is missing. Where's the piece where Peter is climbing on the wall and jumping off the buildings and shooting his web? Or what about the one where Peter is waking up in his room, looking at himself in the mirror, thinking that he's a superhero? Or the part after where Peter fights Flash and he runs across the street to the wall. I think they left some of the score out in the soundtrack and I really wanted to listen to those. The Parade Attack theme is great everytime when I listen to it I think myself as Spiderman. I think they should make a new edition to the soundtrack. The Green Goblin theme is great but still it looks like Elfman was a bit too tired of putting all those themes together in one place for a CD but it is great music to listen to if your an orchestra fan. I'm waiting for Spiderman 2 score to come out which doesn't till July 27th.

I've been looking for something like this for the spider-man movie but all I could find was "Music from and Inspired By" which really isn't a soundtrack. This is a great soundtrack, you can basically watch the movie in your head while listening. Danny Elfman's great! However the soundtrack is somewhat short, only about 45 minutes. It's great all the same. Go out and get yourself a copy!
