We had this album before our children were born. They then heard it every Christmas. We know all the words and all the dialog. Unfortunately our album was lost in a move. We still sung the songs but missed hearing them sing. I found this on CD last year after Christmas and purchased it. This year I'm back for 3 more for all my children. My grandbabies can listen to "Stuck by the Belly in the Chimney" like their parents did. I'd recommend this to anyone who loves Christmas!

I never missed an episode of Bonanza grwoing up. I so wanted to marry Little Joe! OKay, I'm dating myself.... So anyway, when I caught clips of this album on a radio show the memories made me smile. It's as simple as that.
I was looking for some Christmas music that was a little off beat, but not the newer rock and roll stuff. the album has the traditional music you grew up with and the added cheese factor of the cast trying to seem natural. Every time I listen to Hoss's vain attempt at "Deck the Halls". I dissolve into giggles. This album slays me.

When I was a child my brother and sister and I loved this album we listened to it over and over again. It brought back such good memories that when I saw it I had to buy it.

On this album, the friends and neighbors of the Cartwrights visit them for a Christmas Eve party. Songs are sung, and stories are told. Unfortunately, the only Cartwright that could sing, Pernell Roberts, barely appears on the album. He doesn't attend the party, and is only heard in a flashback to last year's Christmas party, singing "The Newborn King". The other actors aren't very good singers, with Dan Blocker being especially bad. This CD is for serious Bonanza fans only.
