When revisiting an old TV series that you had watched as a youth, sometimes it isn't quite as good as you remember it to be. Thankfully, that wasn't the case with CHIPS. I found it to be wonderful, lighthearted, fun entertainment. The entire series holds up quite well!
My only complaint; The person who designed the DVD box did a horrible job on the graphics, and an especially poor job choosing the main photo. Could you possibly choose a more dorky picture? I'm sure that many modern consumers were put-off by the goofy design, thus losing sales for the studio.
It's time to release SEASON TWO!!!!!!!!!

Are you a fan of 70's TV? If so,this DVD set is a must have,with stars such as Erik Estrada,Robert Pine & Larry Wilcox,Chips is a must have DVD set.All 22 episodes of the entire First Season from this Hit of the 70's are herein.There are even facts from Erik Estrada himself on select episodes....i was somewhat disappointed that there are not more features...there are no interviews of how chips came about,nothing from the filming,nothing from anyone but Erik Estrada.Do not get me wrong.This set has all the comedy and drama that i used to watch as a child with the Police Officers i grew up with and loved to watch.It is hard to believe however that this first season set did not have any behind the scene features.Only had facts from Estrada....but the bottom line is this set is a must have for any 70's TV fan...the money is certainly worth it to relive the days of yesteryear with our favorite CHP officers.
I can only hope that Season 2 has more features to share with the fans of this wonderful show from the all the stars we grew up with.

Great DVD. The first season, to me, was the best. The characters were still new and fresh and they were really doing CHP duty. I just love it and rewatch it every evening! Even though I love the first season, I hope they will release the other seasons soon. I miss the series.

My husband bought this DVD for me for Christmas and a day hasn't gone by that my kids and I haven't watched an episode or two. The quality is excellent, the story lines are cheesy, but incredibly palatable and the theme music is hilarious! I like that my kids can watch this show without seeing a lot of violence, and that is teaches some good lessons. I love the chemistry between Larry Wilcox and Eric Estrada- highly recommended!

Love the DVD First Season of Chips. Brings back lots of memories. Recommend this product for people who appreciate the old 70's and 80's TV shows. Good clean viewing fun for the whole family.
