Batman - The TV Series DVD

In association with Amazon.com

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - This series will be awesome to see in blu-ray!
I've recently been watching the series on a cable network. I'm always so disappointed with the color rendition when compared to the blu-ray version of the feature film. It would be amazing to see the entire series from beginning to end on blu-ray! I imagine that you could have the original version and then an enhanced digital version similar to the release of Star Trek on blu-ray this year. Please, let's get this done!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - This show needs to be release on Blu-Ray & DVD
This Batman TV Shows shares one thing with a Spiderman TV show during the 1970's---it is has never been release on DVD nor Blu-Ray. This TV show was the only live action TV show done on Batman and Spiderman TV show during the 1970's that aired on CBS TV was the only live action TV show done on Spiderman. Time has passed everbody by since 1966, when Batman live-action Tv show aired on ABC and time has passed by people who remember The Amazing Spider-Man live action Tv show that aired on CBS for just one year(1977-1978) and the studios just don't get it today---why can a movie be release 3-4 times on every format and quality tv shows like batman that aired on ABC for just lasted only three season can't be put on DVD or Blu-Ray is just stupid and it is wrong for Spider-Man live TV show that aired only 1 season not to be put on DVD or Blu-Ray---When The networks today are own by money grubbing pigs, who do not care about quality tv shows on DvD or Blu-Ray but about the how many Tv shows they can release in just one year with too many edits(changed music, cut-off scenes, and by using syndicated part of the show). The stars of Batman: Burt Ward, and Adam West are not getting any younger, this tv shows needs to be release on dvd & blu-ray as soon as possible for that reason. 20th Century Fox , DC Comics, GreenWay Productions,William Dozier Estate, all people whose music was played on Batman, and all guest stars of batman live action tv show needs to come a common ground on how much they are losing keeping this show from being release on DVD or Blu-Ray and other people are making money at their expense and the same thing can be said for said for the people who do not want spiderman tv show from 1977 to be release---they are losing money and the actors, actress are not getting any younger and it is stupid----because both of these shows deserve to be already on Dvd and Blu-Ray. They could have making been already earning money since the movies like Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Spider-Man,Spider-Man 2, and Spider-Man 3 came out by having these two quality tv shows release on dvd or blu-ray by promoting both during that time but they didn't do that. It will a bad if one of stars of Batman Tv show were to die and they will say let's put this product on dvd then there will not be any commentary from these stars who die . Nicholas Hammond , who played Peter Parker/SpiderMan is not getting any younger too---he will be 59 s year, Adam West will be 81 this year, and Burt Ward will be 64 this year. It is time to put these great TV shows on DVD and better Blu-Ray sometime this year before these great actors die without being a part of the DVD release or Blu-Ray release of these quality shows. Both of the these tv shows were great.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Get On With It!
It's been forty three years since this show became a pop culture phenomenon! And yet still nothing other than the film, reunion movie and the "Batmania!" DVD. How much longer are we gonna have to wait! I don't care if WB/DC owns the character and FOX owns the show, its a tired excuse because they don't want two completely different images of Batman out at the same time. But if they think about it, what is the Filmation cartoons and Super Friends series? They're pretty much the same thing, the only difference is that on the live-action show, Batman and Robin actually get to do something compared to Super Friends where, if they lost they're utility belts, they just hang back and let Superman, Wonder Woman or Apache Chief do all the work. Supposedly its Dan Didio, the exec editor of DC, who's holding it up because he doesn't like camp. Well Mr. DD, you shouldn't have released the George Reeves Superman show because that's pretty much camp as well, along with Wonder Woman and Super Friends. Holding out on gems like this is a crime worthy of any arch-criminal! This Batman can be viewed by people of all ages and its a great stepping stone for a new generation to get exposed to the character because they're parents might not want to expose them to BTAS/Burton/Schumacher/Nolan/DCAU Animated Features because they're too violent.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - C'Mon!!!!!!
Just release this already! They are robbing everyone of a super-fun show filled with a world of pop culture and guest stars. Oh...I forgot.... Batman is now "The Dark Knight" and it's a very serious and adult franchise. It's crap! Give me Adam West!!!!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I LOVE THIS SHOW. BUT I GAVE UP ON THE CORPORATE BEAN COUNTERS WHO OWN THE RIGHTS.
After some years of waiting and reading information from people who worked on the show, producers, actors and others, who've said the great, campy classic 1960s series will apparently NEVER be released onto DVD I gave up and went indie.

That's right, corporate bean counters! I went indie and finally bought a pirate DVD set of the whole show.

I would have preferred NOT doing so, but after all these years of DVDs being available and nothing being done regarding THIS show, as well as some others such as Beavis & Butt-head, why, I've finally realized I've got one life to live and I want to watch the 1960s BATMAN show and Beavis and some others that don't seem to be making their official way onto DVD so I will, when I have to, be enriching my fellow fans who've collected this show and others onto DVD.

Thanks for nothing, corporate bean counters!
