I'm a pretty seasoned cuber and have tried a wide variety of cubes that are available to consumers. While ordering a cube from Hungary is the best bet, those are expensive.
Out of the garden variety cubes available in the states, this is by far the best. It has a very smooth turning radius.
The biggest problem with this cube is the stickers peel off. So what do you do about this? You buy new sticker! For about [...].
Again, excellent cube for the purchase price and availability.

This is both an inexpensive and cheap cube. You're getting what you pay for it.
I bought this cube to replace my original 80's cube which has deteriorated. I use this cube a lot (spending 20 minutes a day with it at least) and within two weeks all but the white and center stickers began peeling up. After another week, all but the white stickers are in very poor condition. I'm frustrated by the poor quality of the stickers.
The turning of the cube was very silky when I first got it, but has become a little less easy--still quite acceptable though.

The cube works fine, but the solution guide that comes with it is very open ended ... it took me some time to make sense out of what was written ... all of it makes sense to me now except for the very last step ... again, the directions are very confusing (at least to me).

This one is definitely in my top five of the all-time greatest brain-busting puzzles! It's relatively small (ergo it can be taken with you just about anywhere), is thoroughly challenging and ultimately will keep you entertained for quite literally hours at a time. And as for it's durability, I have yet to see the stickers start peeling. Though admittedly it get's a little stiff when turning after you've put it away for a day or two, about 10 or 15 minutes of working with it seemed to do the trick for me. I highly recommend this toy to just about anyone of any age. It was the best seven bucks I ever spent, hands down!

I purchased my son a rubiks cube for Christmas and my husband had misplaced it. I did notice that these cubes are a lot lighter in weight than the cube I used to play with in the early eighties. I am positive that they are not made with the same heaviness. It is still the same design and colors, but just not the same in weight. I am still going to purchase my son another one because he is more interested in it now than on Christmas day. I am so glad to see that our children will now get to see the cube that we used to play with for hours at a time. I'd rather see children playing with games that challenge their minds than to be dealing with those video games.
