Lots of familiar and not so familiar tunes, My son loves it and sings along with every track. Even the not so familiar sounds leave you feeling hip and groovy and driving to find, "The Malt shop", Lie back and imagine yourself in a cartoon sipping milkshakes with shaggy and the crew, This CD makes it easy....

Even non fans of the "Scooby Doo" series can enjoy this CD. The light, "bubble-gum" pop feel of these sounds are great to listen to anytime; whether it be in the bathtub, or driving down the highway.
For the fans of the series--this is a compliation you can't afford not to pick up...how can you forget "Pretty Mary Sunlight" or "Tell Me, Tell Me", and not connect it with a scene from "Scooby Doo"?

Although this CD isn't what it could be or should have been, it stll rates highly due to the fact that a little thought and effort were put into it and the results are (mostly) groovy! A real highlight, and one that's not advertised on the cover, is the inclusion of soundbites from the show featuring all of the gang after virtually every track. The disc is also book-ended with the Cartoon Network (as it was pre-Boomerang) music/jingles. This almost gives the whole CD the feel of being an episode of the show. The tracks include five themes from the various incarnations of the Scooby show, from the great (the original Scooby Doo, Where Are You?), to the not so great (the awfully dated disco-style theme) to the interesting (The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo featuring the voice of Vincent Price). The pop songs - all of which appeared in the shows, usually accompanied by Scooby and Shaggy running from a ghost or ghoul - are of varying quality but never below good. Seven Days a Week is a definate highlight in this batch. Also featured are the character-sang songs from the shows, most from the special Scooby Goes Hollywood. These are also of varying quality but don't hit the heights of the pop songs. The Name To Remember is great but I Could Be a Star just grates. Still, if you've always wanted a CD that features Scooby Doo dueting with the Shadow Demon in their rendition of Me and My Shadow this is a must buy! Rounding off the CD is an up-tempo 'Mega Mix' of the original show's theme and features the character's voices throughout - it's fun, funny and the perfect finale - I would be very interested to see what would happen if this was played at a night-club - a full dance floor, I expect!Five stars would have been awarded if some of the familiar and great background music had been included - for fans of the original these are nearly as recognisable and loved as the theme tune. Although I have owned this CD for a number of years now, it has only just been re-discovered in my house thanks to my two-year-old son. He has taken all-things Scooby to his heart and this CD is a real favourite since it contains the much loved character voices and also songs he can dance to. This is a CD that will appeal equally to the fans of the show who want to revisit happy memories, and the young and young-at-heart who either love Scooby or simply love to have fun!

Another reviewer wrote that this CD was only for nerds or hippies. I beg to differ... My five-year-old loves Scooby-Doo and now he's learning to love pop music partly through the classic bubblegum pop songs featured in the old Scooby-Doo episodes.
The songs on this discs are family-friendly and child-safe. Combined with CDs by The Wiggles and Ralph's World, my kids have quite a collection of songs to enjoy until they are ready for the more grown-up world of the radio.
