The Monkees were the best band ever to walk the face of ther Earth!

With all do respect to the MONKEES I do believe that they were mere copy cats of the BEATLES. I like some of THE MONKEES music but I would much rather listen to THE BEATLES ( in their later period however)

This CD is absolutely incredible! It's the first Monkees CD I ever personally owned and it got me started on a perpetual Monkee-kick. I am continually amazed at the musicality of some of these songs; it's a heck lot better than some of the crap put out by teenybopper bands today. I'm only 15 and I love this stuff. If you want some good examples of Monkee music, this is an excellent choice.

This is a good CD to get if you want to find out whether you like the Monkees or not. The sound is fantasticly clear and the selection is of their most popular songs. However, it does include a song written by Micky and a few lesser-known titles. Also, the phamphlet inside the the jewel case gives an interesting and funny summary of the Monkees' lifespan. This is my first CD of theirs and I love it.

This isn't really a greatest hits CD,more like a compilation of their singles. A better CD would be "Then and Now...The Best of The Monkees" even though it too has D.W Washburn. This is just another quick money job by Rhino. Nice liner notes,though there is nothing new if you bought the reissues of the original nine albums.Two stars for including "Listen to the Band" and "Porpoise Song".
