I am looking for a tape that was made in, oh somewhere in the 80's. One of the songs was Lucille. One other one i remember was a song of all the titles of his greatest hits album. The song just rolled along that way. God i wish i could remember the rest of the songs on that album. It would bring back such fond memories. Thanks to anyone who can help with the name of the album or where i can get one. Anything would be helpful. Thanks,

The Essential Series by RCA, which this cd is a part of, rarely lives up to its title(The newer RCA Legends series, despite having fewer tracks, tends to do a better job). Like most Essential cd's, the first half of this cd is filled with great songs by a truly great artist. Many of the songs on the second half, however, have no business whatsoever being on a Waylon Jennings compilation, especially when there are countless Outlaw classics that could take their place.

This is a pure, break-out-the-brown-whiskey, honky tonk collection. The only fallacy is that it lacks Luckenback, Texas. How any Waylon cd can neglect this and include What Ever Happened to the Blues is beyond me. Other than this, it's perfect.

This is another great CD by Waylon! He is one of the best in country music. This has all the greats, including the Dukes of Hazzard theme song, Good Ol Boys! You will really enjoy this one.
