It was just as I remembered from my father's record collection that is long gone, only better. Its hard to believe these skits were written over 40 years ago and that the advertising industry probably hasn't changed.

THIS IS JUST AS FUNNY AS WHEN IT FIRST BECAME A HIT MANY YEARS AGO. HIS TALENT JUST OOZES THROUGH THE SPEAKRS.

Not quite crazy, Bob was and is too buttoned-down and low-key for that. Times have changed, but part of Bob's appeal in Elf and on TV is that he hasn't. His humor still works just as well in the new century as in the old. That said, some of the bits on Button-Down Mind have held up better than others. Driving Instructor almost seems generic now, but Abe Lincoln vs. Madison Avenue ("wear the shawl, Abe." "how are the envelopes holding out?") and, especially, Nobody Will Ever Play Baseball remain laugh out loud hilarious.

Wish I'd bought the video. Material is funny - it just seems short.

Just as funny as the first time I heard it. A great CD; even kids can listen to it without the worry of foul language. He really knows how to tell a story with humor, meaning, and interest.
