This is one of my all time favorite movies. I have lived in the South my entire life and I have lots of friends who call people "Yankees" behind their back. If you need cheering up and want to really have some laughs, this is the movie for you. Joe Pesci is fantastic in his portrayal of Vinnie, a guy who finally passes the bar after numerous attempts. When he comes down to Alabama to try and defend his cousin in court, the results are hilarious. If you are tired of all the gloom and doom on the news, you owe it to yourself to get this movie and cheer up. Power Path to Love

After watching this movie several times over the years, my wife remained completely uninterested until last week, when I was stubbornly watching it without her once again and she made me start it over and watched it and howled with laughter all the way through.
I won't break down the plot but I will say this...
My Cousin Vinny is a great movie about love, trust and family. It is clever, witty, funny and even works as a court drama, if you aren't too particular. The only downside is it has "New Yorker" cussing throughout the movie, but Pesci and Tomei work so great as foils for each others "one liners", you can forget the fact that in the back of your mind is the thought "she wouldn't really be with him" because as I always say "we love the ones we love because we love them".
So here's the deal, this movie still works, without being dated (with the exception of the "cool clothes and hair", it could have been made this year. Funny Stuff!

This is the funniest movie I've ever seen. This is definitely my favorite comedy movie.
