waht a wonderful movie for anyone who is a pet lover or a child.
seller presented a great product for a used item & the delivery came as promised

Robert Hays and Kim Griest play normal human beings while Sally Field, Michael J. Fox and Don Ameche are voices of animals. All of them combined to make a nice family movie here, and a successful one at the box office and at rental stores. It's odd how less than a decade later, many of those names sound "old," don't they?
There are many funny lines given to Fox to read as the main character, the dog. Field also has a good lines as the cat while Ameche plays it straight as the mature Golden Retriever.
The only somewhat-bothersome character is the 13-year-old boy who is impatient and pouty at times, but he gets out that after awhile.
The scenery is nice, too, with photographers doing a fine job capturing the beauty of California's Sierra mountain range.
All in all, a very nice movie and highly-recommended for one of those 'family nights.'

I gotta say, Bruce Broughton did an amazing job on the music, and it deserves 5 stars BUT there are some flaws.
First off, its missing two songs that could have easily fit into the CD. One is when Sassy is in the river, the other is when Shadow is injured under the train tracks. The music is great in those scenes so i don't see why they would just not put them on there which is quite disappointing considering they had room.
Another thing is the price. wow, rare indeed, you cant even download this one online!
I paid [...] bucks for this soundtrack because i love the music and it was worth it too me.
Other than the missing tracks and price, its an great soundtrack.

My first child (now 16) wore this video out and LOVED it! So, i'm replacing it with a DVD for my younger one and the one with autism. Awesome family classic in my opinion! Funny! And it has a happy ending! Love Michael J Fox, Sally Field & Don Ameche voices.... PERFECT casting!

I bought the video close to one month before viewing it. The sound quality about mid-dvd decreases and audio comes in and out. I have not informed the seller, to give an opportunity to reconcile.
