Rating: - Playing the ponies
This is a great stooges video, with three classic shorts. First, in "Playing the ponies" (1937), the stooges trade their restaurant they own for a broken down race horse named thunderbolt. In the end, they win the race by giving the horse some chilli peperinos. Then, in "An ache in every stake", (1941), The stooges are icemen who become servants for a woman who needs help preparing a dinner for her husband's birthday. I love the ending when they make the exploding cake. This is one of my all-time favorite shorts with the three stooges. Then, finally in "Three Sappy people" (1939), The stooges masquerade as doctors Ziller, Zeller, and Zoller. Psychiatrists who are to be the most unconventional in the business. But, mayhem develops when a millionaire places in their care, his playgirl wife who is a "Thrill" addict. A very good tape. You are sure top get a lot of nyuks out of this one.
