If you liked the first volume, then you should pick this up. The art continues to be great and the story and characters continue to have more depth than any of the old TV episodes I've ever seen. But it also continues to be darker in tone and more violent than the old TV series ever was.
The plot of this trade paperback centers around the Lone Ranger and Tonto saving a young Mexican teen from a lynch mob only to find out that the boy is not really an innocent. The plot thickens as the Ranger investigates both the crime and the system that was setting the boy up to hang. All the while both he and Tonto reflect on whether they are really so different.
Good and fun. Action, drama, and character depth. Still not really a children's book.
