Anyone growing up and living around the Reems Creek area of Weaverville NC will get an eye opener. Reems Creek road is "Thunder Road" and the farms and buildings of the movie are mostly still intact. It's a nice weekend discovery adventure. Watch the movie and then explore Reems Creek Road. It's all there. Once you get to the end of Reems Creek, look to your right. It's the same building as in the movie.

Was an okay movie. Wasn't the movie that I thought I was getting, based on the description. I was looking for a certain film, with certain scenes and thought this was the one. Turned out, I was wrong.

Great picture full of exciting car chase scenes. It thrilled me as a kid and brings back that feeling today even with knowing that so many scenes are full of malarkey.

Great movie. Took me back to the days when I first saw the movie. I was 12 years old and saw the movie at a DRIVE IN.
