The Terrible Wave will flood your heart with a lot of tears so go grab some tissues. In 1889, rich and spoiled 15 year old Megan sees the flooding by her house in Pennsylvania spring in a valley, getting higher, because the meeting rivers are getting flooded by the rain. Also Megan doesn't like being bossed around by her aunt. Her dad said, "Get everybody out of the house and get them to the hill so they can be safe from the water." When he was half way up to the hill, Aunt Ella said that she refused to go into that filthy water. So, she went up to the attic, and then Megan saw a terrible wave coming at them. Crashhhh! Megan is on a floating mattress on water as some people pass by trying to help her or just ignoring her; she passes by a family she knows and desperately tries to get their attention, but fails. She is saved by a boy, and they both are trying to get on a small raft with some other people before they sink with the mattress. They both are on the raft when two more people get on; now she is on a hill when Brian and Tom is helping the girl get across to the hill. On the hill they saw people; with Megan, Brian, Tom, Daisy, and the little boy that they found, they sit and eat in a hay filled shed. Tom and Brian went out to try to discover Megan's family while the rest talked and then hit the hay. Megan woke up surprisingly finding Brian; she asked him about his past. Megan woke up by a cup of coffee and pancakes; then they went off to find their family. The group is still trying to find their relatives. They go to Megan's house and find fresh peaches and her dog, Senitor. Now, she is walking with upset Brian; they go back to her house and get help by a nearby school. Brian and Megan are going to the shed after Megan found the boy she flirted with at the dance, dead. She is waiting for Brian when she finds Hulda. Now she finds a boy that has seen her father. Brian comes back full of sorrow, because his family is dead. Will Megan ever find her family? My class and I recommend that you have to read this book! Please read it. It is a really good book. Wow! This book rocks! What happens is...
--the true owner of the black stallion shows up and TAKES THE BLACK BACK
--Alec and Henry find the black, but it is a very difficult journey and they first must travel across the Atlantic
--there is a big race that the black is to be in
--somewhere along the way, a vicious man attempts to KILL THE BLACK
This is not only a horse book, but a good vs. evil book. I highly recommend it.

This was the best book that I ever read! If I could I would give it 9 million star!

Abu the Black Stallions ownerhad lost his horse by going on a ship to a country and the ship had started sinking.The Black had saved a boys life named Alec.Alec had thought that the owner of the horse was really dead but he wasnt,which Alec didnt know that.Well anyways Alec had took the Black home with him and put him in a stall and took good care of the Black.Well now Abu had been looking for his horse for a while now and so he had finally found out where his horse was and went to Alecs house and proved ownership of the Black.Then Abu had taken the horse back home to their country and then Alec was really upset that he didnt have that horse anymore so Abu said that he could have the Blacks baby that was born.
