all i got to say is this is the real deal!!! unlike those brick remasterd sets, which was a cheap copy cat of this masterful set, and for all those who bought the cheap orange bricks, trade them in for the real thing, its worth it

Finally, after 13 years of initially becoming a DBZ fan and clamoring for the series uncut without resorting to fan subs on VHS, it's delivered on DVD in the United States uncut, subbed, AND with good video quality (retaining grain and other film qualities). This is DBZ the way it's meant to be seen, and I can't wait to finally see the entire series, beginning to end, untainted. Keep it up, FUNimation; don't skimp out on any future Dragon Box volumes.

There are far too many one star reviews for this, by people who probably know nothing about the history of Dragonball Z DVD releases. This is the best version available, with the clearest possible remastered picture (and it's really remastered, unlike the orange boxes), original aspect ratio, and all credits and previews, based on the restored Dragonbox set in Japan that's several times the price. I saw the actual airing of the Buu Saga, and I never thought I'd be reminded of that feeling again. This set is great for us nostalgic people who want the true DBZ. No BS, the set is damn near godsend for us. If you're one of the people who bought ghetto VHS tapes with stickers on them your whole life, or the guy who purchased the laser discs, etc.. then look no ... Read More

as most of them are written by disgruntled buyers of the maligned Season Sets who don't actually own (or appreciate) the Dragon Box.
This Dragon Box release is what fans have been waiting for FOR YEARS. I never wasted a dime on the Ultimate Uncut Editions or Season Sets on the outside chance that Funimation might come around and redeem themselves with a product like this. So for me, at least, I'm excited to see my patience pay off. I am elated to finally revisit this part of the show and to finally ... Read More
