Amazon.com: The Mr. Men Little Miss Show is an animated program that's based on the books by Roger Hargreaves and features colorful characters with extreme personality traits like laziness, grumpiness, nervousness, and an insatiable urge to tickle. These six episodes take place in Dillydale where townspeople like Mr. Tickle, Miss Calamity, and Mr. Messy are busy with everything from parades and celebrations to everyday events like harvesting hay and going to the mall or movie theater. Because each character is ruled by a dominant personality trait, differences in approach and opinions are marked. For instance, Mr. Persnickety thinks that Mr. Messy's cheese store is simply appalling while all shoppers agree that Mr. Scatterbrain's best efforts selling shoes or taking television shopping channel orders don't begin to make him a good salesperson. Likewise, pairing up Little Miss Whoops and Mr. Bump to harvest hay on the farm or clean-up after the Dillydale Day celebration are recipes for certain disaster. Luckily, Mr. Tickle can be counted upon to bring a smile to even the grumpiest of faces with his noodle-like, tickling arms. These cute, but extreme characters offer kids a glimpse of how differently people think and approach things and that recognition is an important first step in the development of understanding, empathy, and flexibility. Bonus features include meet, find, and how to draw Mr. Tickle segments; a “Dance, Dance, Dance” music video; DVD-Rom activities; and an exclusive full-color, 14-page book "A Job for Mr. Tickle." (Ages 1 to 7) --Tami Horiuchi

Roger Hargreaves' Mr. Men characters, created for Price, Sloan, and Stern, have been an international sensation for decades. PSS is best known for Mad-Libs and humorous greeting cards. Never have their Mr. Men characters been marketed solely for children until now. The Mr. Men Show, which ran on Cartoon Network in the U.S., is undoubtedly a hit with small kids, but it's also one of the few kids' shows grown-ups will want to watch with them. It's also a hit on UK, French, and Australian TV.
