From the very begining I realised how well made this game was. With it's cinimatic opening it allows one to be able to realy create the character. It then allows the player to interact with tid bits of the characters life. When I finily made it out to the "wastelands" I was already fairly cofident in the controls. This is when the RPG element realy comes out you can act as a good guy or a bad guy you can even play as a guy just trying to get by til he can get his next fix.The shooter element take ... Read More

I'm a huge, huge fan of Fallout 1 and 2, which I played through as a teen dozens of times. But not so much of a crazy fan that making F3 was a blasphemy. I was excited about a Fallout resurrection and about a developer as capable as Bethesda taking over.
Was I worried Fallout 3 would be watered down, consolised, FPS'd and mass marketed to the masses with a teen label? Hell yes... Fortunately that didn't happen too much and Fallout 3 is a stunning success of a game.

This is right up Bethesda's alley. I've been a rabid fan of the series ever since I picked out Fallout as a birthday gift just about 12 years ago. I bought this game cause I heard it was fun. However, all it does 99.9% of the time is either freez or crash to the desktop.I have updated to 1.7 and downloaded Windows Live For Windows as directed by the Bethesda tech, that I emailed for help. Nothing has worked, I suggest save you money and being ticked off,DON'T BUY this JUNK!

I really enjoy this game. I bought the collector's edition when it first came out. I bought the GOTY version because it has all 5 ad-on packages for less than the cost of buying them separately (all 5 are just under $50 separately or in mini packages).

The main portion of the game if very open ended and very enjoyable.
I've completed 3 of the ad-on expansions. They appear to be VERY linear. By this I mean the additional quests require you to do thing in specific order with little ... Read More
