I said it. The writing is greatly improved and the production quality skyrocketed compared to season 1. If you love Transformers G1 and have to choose between season 1 and 2. Get this by all means. Plus it contains the episode with the most brilliant subtle joke ever on Transformers. All the Autobots easily make the jump up the cliff except one who stumbles slightly while pursing the ninja robot. It's not like they said his name a million times right before to make sure everyone got the joke. ... Read More

I would like to thank Shout Factory,a division of Rhino Records for releasing the 25th Anniversary Collection of Transformers Generation 1 on DVD.Rhino has always done a great job with pulling out and restoring records and videos that went out of production years ago.All the Frank Zappa records and rarities. Now they are doing 1980's G.I.JOE and Transformers animation.I plan to pick up all the seasons of G.I.JOE and Transformers or just wait until both mega-sets come out in November.

This is an excellent reminder of how 80's tv was just that much better than one remembers. Transformers is an awesome series that would eventually be made into an insulting movie franchise. No real surprise tho, hasbro and the toy producers of Transformers have been screwing over kids for decades. They are like the George Lucas of toonville. Like releasing 10 versions of Megatron of 5 versions of Prime. This cartoon is great, buy it.

With the success of the three-part mini-series and the first 13 episodes of Season One, the second season of "THE TRANSFORMERS (More Than Meets the Eye) featured on television back in 1985 featured more characters and more episodes (49 total) which then led to "The Transformers: The Movie" in 1986. And now the second season, volume one will be released with 28 episodes (covering episodes 17-44). And with the release of the first season from SHOUT FACTORY, Transformers fans were happy that the company ... Read More
