If you look at pictures of the old show you'll notice that the shirt is not an exact duplicate of what they wore. However, everyone instantly knows its a Star Trek shirt so it works.

I bought this shirt for my step father who just turned 51. He has been a long time fan of Star Trek and is going to be attending the new exhibit in Aug. He has even worn the shirt around the house and said it was conferrable. We would not go out in general public with him wearing his outfit. But he will look great at the exhibit in Philly.
