Released in 1984, "The Final Chapter" (aka Part 4) was arguably the darkest and scariest of the Jason Voorhees slasher atrocities. *Many fans like Part 2 better, finding it more creepy. Whatever. It's a toss up, imo.

In recent years DVD releases have started to get really lame; so called SE DVDs is anything, but that. Even Blu-ray releases aren't always so excellent either. This DVD is an essential buy for any FT13 fan simply just for the cut scenes on it.
There is almost 20 minutes of deleted scenes and effects test footage in the DVD - and the previously lost ending. This is what the FT13 box set should of had on it.

After going 3D, Jason Voorhees returned for what was supposed to be a final killing spree. Tom Savini, the makeup master who created the original look of Jason, returned for this film reportedly so he could actually kill his famed creation.
