I was all excited to purchase this unit from Amazon. I added it to my wish list at $186.xx on November 23, 2009. On November 25 I went to buy it from my wish list and the price was $224.99! Two days before "black Friday"! I went to Crutchfield and paid $229.99 + $10.99 ship.=$240.99. I know I spent more money, but I was willing to do that in protest of Amazon raising the price like that. I am going to do what I can to change all of my purchases away from Amazon now. This is a great Blue-ray player, the sound and video are great and it does play all of our old DVD's as well. The only issue I don't care for is when Blue-ray discs are playing you can't stop the player you must pause it instead, otherwise it will restart the whole video.
Other than that I am very happy with it.

I bought this player last month. It was very easy and straightforward to set up and use.
Excellent picture and features for a reasonable cost.
Very pleased with its performance, including Internet connectivity.

For the price, this player is outstanding. After attaching the unit to our entertainment system, I connected the unit to the internet: firmware update was easy and quick. What else can I say? It works as advertised! Unit looks great, and remote is easy to use. Output via HDMI to our Panasonic plasma is awesome!

Great picture on blue ray and very impressive up convert on regular DVD, the biggest reason I've bought this model is the 7.1 analog out from this player. It's a perfect match for my older but still very good receiver that has an analog input. So it not necessary to buy a new receiver just to play dtsHD surrounds sound from blue ray. It's sure sound much more immersive than before.
