Batman:TAS is a gem of an animated series with its music being a big part why. Its music was performed by a live orchestra under composer Shirley Walker. Many will remember the memorable character themes from the series. Finally we have an OST although it is limited to 3k units forcing those of us that didn't know about it earlier to buy it secondhand at high prices. For anyone who enjoyed the show, this is a must have album. There are 70 tracks worth of Shirley walker magic. There is a 14 minute suite that covers a whole bunch of the different themes, and then certain episodes are covered. My reason for the title of this review is that this soundtrack has so much of the music I wanted, but also leaves out a lot of key characters. I was excited to get Clayface, Catwoman, Batgirl, and Scarecrow themes on here, but out of all those only batgirl makes a 30 second ... Read More

I know fans like me have been longing for this release since the debut of show back in 1992. In years past, there was always talk that sometime down the road, it would eventually see it's release. The late Shirley Walker, Lolita Ritmanis and Michael McCuistion matched perfectly the music tone for the series that mimic a time from the 1940's.
