I would like to nominate Fallout 3 GoTY as best video game value for a new release.
I have 54 hours in now. Haven't finished the main quest, let alone the expansions. That's about 1 cap (just over) per hour of game play right now. I am no where near bored with the game and am already thinking that I hope they do Detroit for the next game, but even if they don't, I can't wait for them to release it.

Think "Mass Effect: Nuclear Holocaust Edition." The game has a nearly endless amount of locations, items, and people to interact with...the only problem is that it keeps me obsessively playing and not interacting with my real friends....:-(...but seriously...buy it. Oh and the Gane Of The Year Edition has so much crazy extra content!

Fallout 3 allows the player to experience the District of Columbia, 150 years post Armageddon. The complete detail of the environment is amazing and depressing at the same time. This game has more than anyone can accomplish in four weeks, given the additional content.

You can spend weeks playing this game and still not find all the content that is hidden in it. This is the first game i have replayed three times and the DLC makes it that much more enjoyable. As a GOY edition you get the best value for your dollar.

I paid about $80 for the special collector's edition of fallout 3, with NONE of the DLC, and now if I want those maps, I have to pay $20 for each ind. expansion pack, or buy the goty edition for another $60. This is complete BS and I feel taken advantage of. If I paid $80, I should get codes to download any future material for free. I've just had it with expansion packs in general.
