Editorial Review:

Product Description:
The boxed set includes the 4 turtles and weapons as pictured above. The display bases found in the single carded figure sets are not included in the boxed set. The NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fixate on the grim comic book aesthetic, plying the Turtles with coarse texture and somber fluidity; an ink wash emphasizes the musculature and armor plating. Leonardo is clad in mask, belt, elbow pads and knee pads, and is characteristically equipped with twin katana swords & back-mounted sword scabbards. Leonardo is extremely enamored of the sage Splinter, and is rigidly dictated by a code of honor. Noted for his disciplined demeanor and keen strategic mind, Leonardo is generally recognized as the leader of the group. Donatello is clad in mask, belt, elbow pads and knee pads, and is characteristically armed with the bo staff. Alternately portrayed as an inventor or tinkerer, Donatello is probably the most cerebral of the four Turtles, and his aversion to lethal violence suits him well to his signature weapon. Being among the most levelheaded of the Turtles, Donatello serves as Leonardoâs unofficial lieutenant. Michelangelo is clad in mask, belt, elbow pads and knee pads, and is characteristically equipped with twin nunchaku. Michelangeloâs outward demeanor is generally more frivolous and more jovial than that of his brothers, although he is linked to his brothers and those few others close him by a profound sense of empathy. Raphael is clad in mask, belt, elbow pads and knee pads, and is characteristically equipped with twin sais. In stark contrast to Michelangelo, Raphael is fueled by a nearly constant stream of brooding anger; as a combatant he is sometimes much more brutal than his brothers, particularly in any circumstance in which his brothers are placed in direct peril.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Must have for any TMNT fan
I bought this for my husband. Hes a huge TMNT fan. Thing is - the turtles looked white in the comics and thats what makes this set so special.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - In The Beginning...
...The turtles started as a black and white comic by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. These awesome turtle figures are based on the artwork of the original comics, before the turtles got turned into a kid's cartoon franchise.

I've been a Turtle fan since the 80's when I was growing up (I'm 27 now), and I've been playing or displaying their toys throughout the years. I've got to say that these are defiantly some of the coolest Ninja Turtles figures out there, past or present. They're ... Read More
