Reissue of the 1962 classic Christmas with the Chipmunks! This long time favourite reached #84 in the charts. Alvin and the Chipmunks are a six-time Grammy Award-winning animated music group created by Ross Bagdasarian, Sr. in 1958. The group consists of three singing animated chipmunks: Alvin, the mischievous troublemaker, who quickly became the star of the group; Simon, the tall, bespectacled intellectual; and Theodore, the chubby, impressionable sweetheart. The trio is managed by their human father and confidant, David Seville. In reality, David Seville was Bagdasarian's stage name, and the Chipmunks themselves are named after the executives of their original record label, Liberty Records: Alvin Bennett (the president), Simon Waronker (the founder and owner), and Theodore Keep (the chief engineer).

I used to listen to this record every Christmas as a child. When the record player died I bought the tape. Then the tape was consumed by a tempermental cassette player :( I was so pleased to find this at Amazon on CD!!! I love the memories it brings back ("Me, I want a hula-hoop..."). This is a great holiday album for all adult children of the 70's and 80's and keeps it's value for the children of today. Very fun and uplifting. I bought this for my son...ok it is more for myself...but he loves just as much as I did when I was kid. You can never go wrong with Alvin and the Chipmunks. This cd puts a fun twist into christmas carols, especially with the antics of the chipmunks.

Arrived quickly in good condition.
CD contains some of the songs from the Disney Christmas tape I had as a child (from the '80s) that were originally attributed to Chip and Dale.

I was very pleased when I received the Christmas Chipmunk CD, my daughter loves the chipmunks and this made an early Christmas present. The CD arrived very quickly and good as new. My daughter is still listening to it and keeps it by the computer, so not only is it great for the holidays she enjoys it all the time. Again, I was very please and if you are wondering about ordering something through AMAZON, you could not place your order with a better company.
