Product Description: Witness the original web-slinger's mythology from the beginning! Peter Parker is a not so typical high school junior, fresh off an exciting summer engaging common criminals with his new found powers. But now he must conceal his secret identity as "Spider-Man", while engaging a new level of terror: the multi-leveled pressures of teenage life at home/school with combating bigger, badder super-villains in the real world! Movie comprised of 3 episodes tied seemlessly.

I thought The Batman was the only comic book character to get many cartoon series created of him but, boy, was I wrong. Spider-Man has had over six different cartoon series created of him through the years. Each different, in it's own way, but staying close to the source material. My personal favorites were Spider-Man('94 through '98), Spider-Man Unlimited('99) & Spider-Man:The New Animated Series(2003). To be honest, I was quite skeptical of this show doing Spider-Man any justice. It seemed geared ... Read More

As I get older, I've come to notice that many of my favorite shows have come and gone and while I have usually collected new shows to watch as old ones depart, I find myself being less enthralled by the latest shows on television, animation or otherwise. It's a recurring thought that one day my favorite old shows to watch will depart before I find new ones to take their place . . . perhaps killing my TV habits once and for all.
Thankfully I've not come to that conclusion just yet, as Sony's ... Read More

My young sons (ages 5 and 4) love the new animated Spider-Man series. The WB program was bright, colorful and much better suited for younger audiences than the MTV version produced a couple years ago.
If you absolutely must buy a DVD right now, go ahead. This is a good choice for young children who love Spider-Man. However, you'll do a lot better to wait for the Season 1 DVD set.
Are you buying it for a birthday present and can't wait for the season 1 DVD set? Look instead at the ... Read More

Don't buy this DVD it's a waste of money wait until they release the season one DVD and buy that because then you'll have all thirteen episodes in one package.

The new Spectacular Spider-Man animated series is, in my opinion, the best animated Spider-Man series yet. It combines old school Stan Lee and Jack Kirby with Ultimate Spider-Man for a unique, but still true to the characters twist. However, this DVD is a waste of money. Wait for the season 1 DVD package instead of paying for only three episodes.
