Storm (Ororo Munroe) is a Marvel Comics superheroine best known as a prominent leader of the X-Men. Storm first appeared in 1975 in the famous Giant Size X-Men #1 comic. Storm is the reigning queen of the fictional nation of Wakanda, a title held by marriage to fellow Marvel Comics superhero Black Panther. Storm was one of the first black comic book characters, and the first black female, to play either a major or supporting role in the big two comic book houses, Marvel Comics and DC Comics.
