A professor (Claude Rains), "the Old Man" needs no new fangled instrumentality to tell him what he can figure out by calculus. Yes a mysterious planet (planet means wanderer) from another galaxy is on a collision course with earth. However the math does not add up when the planet instead of just missing earth takes up orbit. What can this mean? The professor says we must destroy it immediately.
If the sci-fi thriller part is not enough we have budding love stories to boot.

This is one of my favorite low budget sci-fi films from this time period. I'd be proud, happy and thrilled to see a true widescreen or letterboxed transfer of this movie, regardless of the video quality. Alas, this DVD is not widescreen, but instead a very poor video transfer from an old washed out, pan & scanned 16mm TV film print.
