I've got all five available seasons, and I'm writing this hoping others will sign up at Amazon for the sixth and last season. Which will hopefully contain all the TV movies. I'm sure season six will come out, I'm just impatient.

I just re-watched my old videotapes of the Rockford movies, circa 1994-99. They are terrific, and the storylines hold up well. It is great to see old Rockford regulars re-appear, older and usually no wiser. Write to everyone involved and try to get these released on good quality DVDs (my tapes need to be remastered, hahaha) with a bit of commentary, maybe by Ed Robertson, they guy who wrote the book on the series, Steven J. NBC did not cancel the Rockford Files in the traditional sense. Scripts were written for the full season, but James Garner became ill filming the "Hawaiian Headache" episode on location and was unable to work. Season 6 is full of great episodes and while Rockford Files was excellent throughout its run, it really hit its stride in this final, truncated season. The Rockford Files Season Six (1979-1980) would be a perfect DVD release for the Holidays of 2008. I hope Universal plans to Release The Final Season of The Rockford Files this November, at least. Please release The Rockford Files Season Six in the Holidays of 2008!
