Editorial Review:
Product Description: The original soundtrack recording to the highly anticipated fourth chapter in the Indiana Jones film series. Featuring an epic orchestral score composed and conducted by Oscar-winner John Williams, this is a soundtrack album that holds true to the timeless appeal of Indiana Jones, and the iconic musical themes that have endeared the character to millions of fans the world over.

He's my favorite composer, and I'm glad his first score after his hiatus is an Indy score. I was hoping he would have used more of the jungle-themed ideas he employed in The Lost World, but the few times he does are great anyway. My only gripe is the sound quality--it's too sharp and "digital." It's kinda hard to listen to sometimes. And the "Crystal" theme is a little lackluster. I like Mutt's Robin Hood-like theme, though it takes getting used to. Overall, a great score, definitely better than ... Read More

Well I must say it has been a long two and a half years since the last score by John Williams...Steven Spielberg's Munich. Since then, we've heard variations of previous score franchises such as Superman Returns, and Harry Potter. However, it's just not the same as an actual John Williams score. Good, but not as good as I hoped for. Of course the expectations were high, but not really convincing.

John Williams rarely strikes out, and he has definitely not in this latest composition from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
The Indiana Jones theme is what everyone remembers. I would rank it as one of the best motion picture themes. The rest of the soundtrack is very good. There is nostalgia woven throughout this soundtrack. Marion's theme is back and is found in several of the tracks, whether it be a a few seconds or not. Some of the Last Crusade music makes a return ... Read More

John Williams is by far the most accomplished and successful composers in Hollywood..I will stand by that till my dying day. Unfortunately, IJATKOTCS is not one of his greatest works. A beautiful nostalgic opening with "The Raider's March" is about as good as its gonna get with this one. Unlike the Star Wars series where each character has his/her very distinctive theme music that would literally stay in your head the rest of your life, this piece of work (though technically sound) really has nothing signature ...
