Adam West's wooden Batman is the cowled vigilante alter ego of straight-arrow millionaire Bruce Wayne and Bruce Ward's Robin (a.k.a. Dick Grayson, Bruce's young collegiate protégé) his overeager sidekick in hot pants. Together they battle an unholy alliance of Gotham City's greatest criminals: the Joker (Cesar Romero, whooping up a storm), the Riddler (giggling Frank Gorshin), the Penguin (cackling Burgess Meredith), and the purr-fectly sexy Catwoman (Lee Meriwether slinking in a skin-tight black bodysuit). If you can't wait for the next film after Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, get this 1960's classic; especially if you can't wait to see the Riddler and are tired of the Jim Carrey version.
Whether you prefer Christian Bale or Michael Keaton, Adam West is easily arguable as the second best (if not the first) Batman/Bruce Wayne.

My grandson loves this movie. When I watch it with him, you can certainly see the difference in todays shows and back in the 60's and 70's. Then we wonder why so many kids have attitudes? I much prefer to let children watch some of the old reruns and the Nogin learning channel as opposed to the new released violent movies or even cartoons.

I have to hand it to Fox with this one. Even though I'm a staunch fan of the darker interpretation of Batman (Batman Begins and The Dark Knight in particular) I still believe that this film holds a place in history.

Na na na na na na Batman! Im back and ready for this movie featuring the second caped crusader (Adam was not the first). In this movie there are four villians.
