My son recently purchased an Xbox and this game. He enjoys this game a lot. Please note that this is an expansion pack game and will not be enjoyed by those that already have the original Lost Planet Extreme Condition game. The bad reviews are due to the disappointment of gamers seeking a new and different game. If you do not currently have the original Lost Planet game, you will most likely enjoy this one.

The only BiG drawback to this game is that Capcom messed with some of the gameplay. They tweaked a bunch of the weapons and has now changed the way the game is played. They messed with the shotgun roll and shoot (you can no longer do it at the same time). Messed with the shot and reload of the sniper rifle and rocket launcher. Amongst many other tweaks. What really gets to me, is that Capcom never announced any of these gameplay changes before the game was release. I wish they just left the game ... Read More

This game edition was supposed to be a welcome addition into my collection.
The new characters, maps, and weapons are all nice.
The quarrel I have is that with rifles you can no longer shoot quickly; there is a substantial delay between shots.
There is no link between your character level or friends from the original Lost Planet. Your gamer tag from Lost Planet is reset so you start from level 1.
