This machine really makes older DVDs look great. We watched the original Star Wars movies and the difference was noticeable. Great price as well.Delivery was fast also.

This machine is NOT an "all regions" player as it was described. I couldn't even find a hack to make it work. A big waste of money.

Sony DVP-NS700H I've had this unit for 6 months and playback intermittently freezes during movies. The only way to free it up is to power off the unit. It does this on multiple DVD's so the unit is malfunctioning. The Sony warranty is 90 days labor and 1 year parts so they are willing to exchange with a refurbished unit at a cost of $33 plus your cost to ship to them. I bought 10 of these to use as video sources in my work. One failed after just one month of use (~80 hours of playback) and a second one failed after 4 months and ~200 hours of playback. That translates to about 40 and 100 movies, respectively. In a household that watches just two movies a week, both units would have failed within their first year of use. I consider that terrible reliability.

We bought this last may. It worked great...until last week when it decided that it would no longer reconise any disc. Today I finally got the time to check things out, we bought it 1 yr 2 days ago. Out of warrenty, ugh what a bummer. We had no other problems with it. It worked way better than our last Panasonic dvd player.
