These new painted DualShock 3 controllers are better than the black ones, because the paint finish makes them easier to grip. The black plastic ones become slick when your hands sweat while gaming, while the painted ones have a matte finish that adds a little texture. I have a silver one and this red one, both have a nice look.

I play a lot of FPS games for hours on end. I own the PS3, Xbox 360 & the Wii. Out of all of these systems' controllers I like the PS3's Dualshock 3 wireless controller the best. It's smaller and smoother to the touch which is a lot more forgiving on my hands. My hands tend to hurt after playing FPS games with the Xbox controller because of its larger size and because of the rough texture on the outside of the controller although this is less of an issue if I'm playing games other than shooters because ... The controller is really nice and, personally, red is my favorite color so that is why I chose it in the first place. At 42.99 it was a good deal because the price is locked at 54.99 in stores(+ spending time to get there). Overall, if you are looking for a controller, the red one is pretty cool and definitely worth getting.
