Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - lets go.... release this series
Ummm,, it has be 22 years now... If they wait too much longer there will be no one alive that saw it on TV, and there will be no interest in it on DVD.

Why wait? Are they wanting to wait to be sure that sales suck?

This and The Nanny need to get it together and wake up.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Southern Belles at their best
One of the funniest, smartest, and thought provoken shows to come out of the 80's. Well written and acted by a cast of characters that Shakespere could only dream of. Love Love Love this show. Such style, grace and humor for the first 5 years. Dixie Carter brought such wit and humor to Julia Sugerbacker, Jean Smart was truly the girl next door who could make any man swoon, Annie Potts proved that a woman did not need a man to raise a family, and Delta Burke as Suzanne Sugerbaker showed us that even ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Darn funny
I thought this was one of the funniest shows I like the one where the son Payne shows up with the older woman girl friend, and they are all out to get her. I hope they put the whole season on dvd soon .

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - When?
This show was HILARIOUS (at least with the original cast). This is my mom's favorite show and I have been waiting for it to be released on dvd so that I can buy them for her since they rerun at such odd times where we live. She already has the Best of DVD which just isn't quite enough. This show was quick, witty, and fun. With such a delightful cast, who didn't like it? PLEASE RELEASE!

Aside from the fact that my dorm-mate from Dearing Hall at Stephens College, Annie Potts, played a great character in Mary Jo Shively, everything else about the series is great. I love the writing of Linda Bloodworth-Thomason. Her episodes (she wrote all of Season 1) are compelling, funny, poignant, and intelligent. Jean Smart could make me laugh and cry, she played a character with such a big heart to perfection. Dixie Carter was probably the political voice of Ms. ... Read More
