Editorial Review:
Product Description: BIG BOW WOW This stylish, gritty and sexy contemporary relationship drama series centers on a group of 20-something friends dealing with all that life and love can throw at them. With widely differing backgrounds and ambitions, their lives collide at a pivotal time in 21st century Dublin, Ireland, where they share neighbouring flats in a trendy Quayside development. Like many young people sharing inner-city lives, they quickly become a kind of urban family, closely involved in each other's highs and lows, and gathering together at the end of a busy day to unwind at a danceclub, the Big Bow Wow. A diverse spectrum of characters populates Big Bow Wow, ranging from Leah (Melanie Clark Pullen - EastEnders), the freelance security consultant who's left behind a messy break-up and past she doesn't want to talk about, to successful builder Peter (Ben Palmer - The Abduction Club) whose role as parental stand-in after his mother's death has turned him into an evader of all other emotional hardships.
There's also Eric (Chris McQuarry - Mike Bassett: England Manager), who DJs at the Big Bow Wow, reinventing himself on his return to Ireland, coming out as gay and partying hard; brilliant student Jamilla (Sara James - In America) who's entering uncharted waters in her growing relationship with her professor, driven and materialistic Karen (Emily Nagle - The Last September) owner of an upmarket noodle bar, and computer whiz Frank (Michael Legge - Angela's Ashes) who chronically lacks confidence and social skills - but is irresistibly drawn to Leah. Sizzling, steamy, volatile and complex, Big Bow Wow is what 20-something life is all about!
