I bought this golf set for my daughter for her 1st birthday - it's perfect for a child her age! The golf balls are slightly larger than other sets, so there's no chance of her choking on them when she tries to eat them (as she does everything). The clubs are shorter than those in some other sets I've seen and easier for her to use, even though she doesn't use them correctly. My 15-month old son LOVES this toy. His Nana got it for his first birthday not sure if he would even like it and it turned out to be one of his absolute favorites. From the beginning, he loved taking the balls out and putting them back in. For at least the last two months, he's been able to hit the balls with the golf clubs too.
